As a Senior Photographer in Winter Garden, Florida I'm sharing tips so that you can have the BEST Senior Portrait experience ever! After all there are very few times in life where you get a photo session all to yourself to celebrate who you are right now.
At the very least I recommend 2 looks. Your cap and gown and at least 1 other outfit. However, you don't have to stop there! Read on as I share the best way to make your pictures unique to you and best of all as memorable as possible.
Sports, Hobbies, Favorite Pastimes & Activities
Are you an avid reader, a great musician, or a passionate artist? One of the best things you can do is bring props that have a great significance to you.
Books, instruments, or your Team Uniform are all things that will level up your photos and make them all about you.
Items you can bring: paint brushes, sketch book, instrument, pom-poms, sports ball, the options are really limitless. Think about the things you most enjoy or maybe clubs or teams that you are a part of. Including some of these items in a few takes of your session will help you with a well rounded story of who you are at this time in your life.
Fashion Statements
Sunglasses, hats, and trendy clothing are yet another way to make your portraits fun and unique!
A fun aspect is that you will be able to look back at yourself in 20 years and remember just what was in when you were in High School or College.
Traditional Outfit
Don't forget to include an outfit that is beautifully classic. This is probably the one your parents will want to have a large print of in their home.
Make sure all your outfits are wrinkle-free and fit well. Try on your clothes beforehand make sure they are not too big or small. Choosing styles that compliment you and that you feel good in will boost your confidence.
Hair & Makeup
You can do your own hair and makeup or get it done professionally. If you need to DIY your portrait session beauty I have some tips for that! Make sure your nails are clean and groomed. If you are able to paint your nails that is always a nice touch that looks great in photos. Even a clear coat will help to give you a nice polished look.
Use products in your hair for hold or humidity depending on the weather. If you are doing your own makeup make sure your foundation is a good match to your skin-tone and is applied evenly. Thankfully, nowadays there are so many resources such as YouTube to help you do this on your own
And lastly, be sure to get a good nights sleep the day before so you can relax and have fun!
I hope these tips were helpful! If you are looking for an Orlando Senior Photographer be sure to reach out, I would love to be your photographer.
